Creamy White Garlic Pizza Sauce

Adapted from Great Pizza Recipes.

Tops 1 to 2 pizzas, depending on how big the pizza is. This sauce is also really good on noodles.

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp AP flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ Tbsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, shredded

In a medium saucepan over low heat, heat butter and stir in flour to form a roux. Allow flour to brown slightly, but don’t let it burn.

Once the roux has been created, whisk milk in slowly and gradually, avoiding lumps. Cook it until desired thickness is reached, and then slowly stir in the cheese and spices.

The cheese will melt and the mixture will become smooth and creamy. Let it cool a bit, then stick it on the pizza.
